The lymphatic system for yoga teachers

The lymphatic system for yoga teachers

The lymphatic system plays a vital role in fluid balance, immune function and the body’s natural processes of clearing and recovery.

In this evidence-informed workshop, we’ll take a clear and practical look at how the lymphatic system works - and how yoga can support it through movement, breath and rest. You’ll explore how lymph moves through the body, why it doesn’t have a central pump like the heart, and how simple practices such as diaphragmatic breathing and gentle movement can support its flow.

You’ll explore:

💧 What the lymphatic system is and how it works

💧 The role of movement and skeletal muscle in lymph flow

💧 How the diaphragm supports circulation through pressure changes

💧 Why rest and nervous system regulation matter for recovery

💧 How yoga practices can support the body’s natural systems

You’ll can expect to finish this workshop with a clear understanding of how yoga interacts with the body beyond muscles and joints, and how to support your yogis' lymphatic movement in your classes.
