What’s new in fascia research

What’s new in fascia research

Understanding the body’s fascinating connective tissue

Over the last two decades, fascia has moved from being considered an inert packing material to being recognised as one of the most important systems in the human body.

Emerging research now shows that fascia is alive with sensory receptors, capable of adaptation, deeply connected to the nervous system, and influential in movement, pain and emotional experience.

For yoga teachers, this research offers a powerful new lens through which to understand the body. In this workshop, we explore the latest discoveries in fascia science and what they mean for movement, yoga practice and teaching.
