For Yoga Teachers
Setting up your yoga business can be a bit of a minefield, so this page is dedicated to useful resources that we’d heartily recommend; time-saving / cost-saving / beneficial, or all of the above.
We hope this helps you get started; because sometimes just starting off is the hardest bit.

Convertkit
We use Convertkit at Yoga Hero and here at For Yoga Teachers for our weekly newsletters…
But we also use Convertkit to book people on to our courses, to send timely reminders about course sign up dates, payment reminders and so much more.
We’ve found Convertkit to be an incredibly powerful way to stay in touch with our valued heroes and yoga teachers, and quite frankly, wouldn’t be without it.
And - we’ve just discovered that it’s possible to take tips! It’s so easy to set up, just create a tip jar, give it a name, grab the link and share it with people who want to tip you. Yey!
Google Workspace
There’s a whole host of benefits to using Google Workspace, including reducing the risk of a data breech, getting yourself a professional email and saving time (yes please!)
At Yoga Hero and For Yoga Teachers, we use Google to run our emails, secure documents, automating processes and much more. And we love it.

Dropbox
We would spend so long taking photos for workshops, setting up gorgeous videos of the studio, capturing images to show our wonderful teachers’ personalities… and then when it was time to use them, they’d be accidentally deleted or ‘who’s phone is that photo on?!’… Does that sound familiar?
Then in 2020 we started using Dropbox, and we haven’t looked back. The Dropbox app is on all our devices, and we set up a sensible file structure, so now if we need that photo of that teacher, it’s right where we expect it to be.
It’s saved countless hours.

Banking
Time is short, and business banking can get really expensive.

Taking payments
Taking payments can be a tricky and expensive business! But, as we know, the ONLY way to know if a yogi is serious is when they’ve paid. (Despite how enthusiastic they are when they promise you ‘I will book’ or ‘I will come!’)
At Yoga Hero and For Yoga Teachers we use the super-reliable and user-friendly GoCardless for one-off payments and recurring payments, too.

Recommended Accountant
Our recommended accountant, based in Leeds but will take clients on nationwide.
