Social media for yoga teachers: Insight
“Really enjoyed this workshop, thank you. I have zero experience in social media for business so this helped loads and gave me lots to think about.”

I found Yoga at a time when I was dealing with what I now know to be chronic stress and anxiety. I would practice during my lunch at my local Yoga studio and for those 45 minutes I could find just a glimmer of peace. I didn’t understand why back then, I just knew I needed to know more…
Over the years that followed I fell in and out of love with the practice. I would often become frustrated if I couldn’t “perfect” certain postures. I’m not the most flexible yogi you see, bendy Wendy folding herself in two next to me always felt pretty disheartening.
Having practiced Yoga for many years I finally took the steps to explore my teacher training with Yoga Hero in Leeds, and Proud Yoga was born. I shed my inner perfectionist. I learnt that āsana is the tip of the iceberg and I began to look inwards.
My practice changed forever.
I have since had the great privilege to continue learning with some of the leading practitioners and teachers in the Yoga world.
Fuelled by a deep-rooted desire for knowledge and a thirst to know more, Proud Yoga represents my great pride to be able to share Yoga with the world. I feel it is my dharma - my life’s purpose - to be on this path and to use my own hardships to help people heal.
I consider it my great privilege to offer guidance to anyone who joins me on the mat.
Proud Yoga will always be a space for everyone to explore Yoga; all abilities, bodies and back stories. All ages, genders, sexualities, colours, races, creeds and absolutely everything in-between. If Yoga means union, then let it unite us.
"I really enjoyed Iain's social media workshop. Iain is very knowledgeable about content creation and how that can help to create a community where you can share your yoga practice. We learnt all about the different types of content and how to use these tools on IG. I really liked the focus on sharing what feels authentic to you and what is practical for the yogis that come to your class. I definitely now feel more motivated to use social media in a way that feels right for me."
