For Yoga Teachers Podcast. Episode 8.

Renting a space for yoga classes

In this podcast, we explore 15 things to consider when looking at renting a space for your yoga offering.

It’s unlikely that we’ll find the absolute perfect space that ticks all the boxes, so in this episode, we first of all look at things to consider – some obvious and some not so obvious – when evaluating spaces to rent out for your yoga classes. Then, we look at how you prioritise your must haves, and your nice-to-haves. This advice stands when renting a space by the class, or renting a space exclusively for you, full time. The advice is an accumulation of all the - shall we say - learnings over the past 10 years, over which time Yoga Hero has inhabited:

  • An art gallery

  • A 15th century building

  • A disused industrial unit

  • A skatepark

  • A cafe

  • A festival

  • And others!

And shall we say, some have been more successful than others! Finding a suitable space posed quite a big challenge before moving in to our full-time studio, and I’d love to share these learnings with you, so you don’t experience the same challenges, hiccups, and disasters!

Enjoy!
